My inspiration for block printing came from Gustave Baumann, an early 20th century woodcut artist known for his lush landscapes. I initially started out with a single color print then moved into multi-colored prints which I pull by hand usually in a 12" X 12" format. I use oil based inks rather than water-based, which take longer to set up but afford richer color.
